Welcome to gap-architecture. We are a small, design-led practice that takes great care in providing an exceptional level of service tailored to each client's individual requirements. With particular skills in domestic and residential schemes, previous work includes individual houses, barn conversions, apartments, extensions to houses, schools and community facilities, conservation area consents and listed building works. Each project is reviewed and addressed on its own merits, creating a unique and bespoke solution that will meet the dual challenges of design aspiration and budget. Close liaison with each client is central to the work philosophy of gap-architecture and is seen as crucial in achieving an end product that will exceed expectations, no matter what scale of project is being considered. gap-architecture rely on working collaboratively with all clients, making central use of computing to describe each scheme and investigate the possibilties of sunlight, views, materials and textures.
Simon Hembury, principal architect, is personally involved in all projects and brings together careful analysis of the brief, strategic planning, spatial creativity and attention to detail to produce well crafted and ultimately build-able architecture.
gap-architecture undertake a full range of professional architectural services including feasibility studies, construction tendering, contract administration and site inspection, overall project and design management, 
work-load sharing with other architects' practices and expert witness instructions.
